Spotless Group Limited, an international services company that focuses on facility and retailer services, will be hosting its most business-critical application on the Savvis cloud platform.

Spotless is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and employs about 40,000 global staff who deliver managed services, cleaning, food, laundry, painting and retailer services to 14,000 clients in 32 countries.

The four-year Savvis contract will ensure that Spotless’ most mission-critical application - SAP - will be highly secure and available. Savvis will host this Enterprise Resource Planning application using Savvis’ public and private cloud offerings out of its Singapore data centre. Savvis will also provide additional IT infrastructure services including utility storage, networking, security and disaster recovery solutions.

“The move to cloud services is one way that we are driving efficiencies in our IT organisation. As we looked to outsource elements of our IT infrastructure, we turned to Savvis because it’s a recognised leader in cloud and has a strong reputation for enterprise security, performance and availability,” said Anthony Stevens, CIO at Spotless. “Savvis’ Singapore data centre also met our stringent business requirements and its breadth of IT infrastructure services will enable us to drive further efficiencies across other global regions in the future.”

The project will consolidate its 135 enterprise systems over 2,500 sites and is designed to re-engineer the way Spotless operates. SAP will be used to support a variety of business functions, including sales and distribution, asset management and payroll.

“Spotless’ forward-looking approach to deploying cloud-based services will allow them to gain infrastructure, resource and cost efficiencies,” said Mark Smith, managing director of Asia for Savvis. “As their business continues to evolve, Savvis’ cloud and IT infrastructure solutions will be able to support their long-term business growth, and we are delighted to add them to our growing client base in Asia and Australia.”

The Savvis Singapore data centre is ISO 27001 accredited and offers a full range of IT infrastructure services, including colocation, managed hosting, public and private cloud, network and security services. From this data centre, Savvis serves many global and local clients as well as alliances.
