3P Learning, the company behind Australia’s most used educational website, Mathletics, has tapped Akamai Technologies to power its sites reach to students in areas like China and South Africa.

Used by more than 3.5 million students in 10,000 schools worldwide to develop mathematics comprehension, the Australia-based 3P Learning selected Akamai to help forge their expansion into remote global regions, which may lack the broadband infrastructure required to experience the site at optimal levels.

Besides providing learning activities online, 3P Learning also offers real-time interactive mathematics games where students can challenge others from all over world, testing their speed and accuracy. High performance and reliable Internet delivery is therefore at the core of 3P Learning’s service approach. Akamai’s coverage across the crucial Australian market and beyond helps Mathletics to optimise the learning experience for its students.

To power the site’s reach to students in areas like China and South Africa, 3P Learning is using Akamai’s Dynamic Site Accelerator (DSA) Secure solution which ensures that websites are always available, performing well and optimised for access from any Internet device.

“As we prepare to expand our reach to students in countries throughout Asia and Africa to become an omnipresent provider of online educational services, it is theright move to partner with the leader in Internet optimisation,” said Mitch Nicholls, Chief Technology Officer at 3P Learning.

“No one else offers a comparable scope and breadth to Akamai’s platform, and we are confident that a faster and more reliable site will add up to an increase in our global student user base,” Nicholls added.

In addition, Dynamic Site Accelerator Secure helps mitigate schools’ security concerns about privacy, as the solution provides information and analysis about where site traffic is coming from.
